Dr. Stephanie Heaney

Stephanie Heaney, DDS, is a board certified pediatric dentist with a passion for treating children’s smiles at every age with the expert and personalized care they deserve. 

Dr. Stephanie graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland before earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with distinction from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She then completed her pediatric dental residency at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society.

After graduating from the Naval Academy, Dr. Stephanie served as a surface warfare officer in the Navy aboard the USS Ross (DDG 71), a guided missile destroyer. She then practiced general dentistry in Apex, North Carolina, for a year before pursuing a passion and specialization in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Stephanie proudly serves on the professional medical and dental team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dr. Stephanie is married to Aidan Heaney, the Men’s Soccer Coach at UNCW. They have three children: Maeve, Millie and Harry.
